Imagine a place where only the Moon and Stars light your way at night, where the Sounds are of nature, where Folks driving by stop in the center of the road to talk with you, and the Scents are of fresh flowers, green trees, and salt air. You've arrived in
Shelter Cove

West of the Redwoods,
bound by
The Sinkyone
Wilderness,
Kings Range
National Forest , and the
Pacific Ocean
with empty Black Sand beaches,
Shelter Cove
is the perfect
Getaway along the Lost Coast
to renew body,
mind, and spirit.
The difficult part of the drive to Shelter Cove is the final 24 miles. Briceland/Shelter Cove Road
is a narrow 2 lane highway that twists and turns like a roller coaster as it ascends/descends though the forest. Take your time. Drive slowly. Enjoy the scenery. There are plenty of pullouts to allow traffic to pass you.
